30 Day Mindfulness Challenge: Summary

30 Day Mindfulness Challenge Summary

I can’t believe that I was able to be mindful (or at least try daily,) for the entire month of my 30 Day Mindfulness Challenge!
Being mindful is difficult.

I knew this going in, but I sort of hoped that by the end of the month, it would be easier.

So far, it really isn’t.

Maybe if I keep doing it, after a while it will get easier. They do say that the more you meditate, the easier it gets.

But this was only 1 month, and I tried multiple methods of being mindful, and didn’t stick with any one for a long time.

Out of the 4 different ways I tried to be mindful: meditation, breathing techniques, every day activities, and mindful movements, I think I liked the meditation the best.

I think because I was using a guided meditation app (Headspace), and it told me exactly what to do and when to do it, it was easier to be in the here and now, and not have my mind wander.

I did enjoy doing every day activities mindfully too, but I think it would be hard to do too often. I think because each one was a one time thing, it was easier to try.

I do know this. I will definitely keep trying to be mindful even though the month is up.

There are so many incredible things that being mindful can do for you. You’ll be less stressed, happier, and even healthier! So it’s something that is definitely worth trying to do on a daily basis.

Personally, I think I’m going to try doing a guided meditation every day. For now I’ll stick with Headspace, but I might look for a different one as well to see what I think of it.

It doesn’t matter how you do it, but for your health, you should try to find a way to be mindful as well. As you can see if you’ve looked through the different methods I’ve tried, there are ways to be mindful that can fit into your schedule, no matter how busy you are.

I hope this was helpful to you. It was definitely helpful to me, and I hope you find a way that works for you.
