30 Day Mindfulness Challenge Day 24

While I love the idea of mindful movements and exercises, I’ll admit that after doing stretching and yoga, I had to start looking things up to remind myself of other things I could do as part of my 30 Day Mindfulness Challenge.

One of the first things that came up with qigong. Qigong is a Chinese system of breathing, movement, and meditation, which makes it perfect for this week.

The point of qigong is to restore and balance your qi, which is your life energy.

You don’t need to be in great shape to practice it. It’s mostly slow, flowing movements, deep breathing, and being mindful.

What we have in our house is the DVD, “The Eight Pieces of Brocade – Simple Qigong Exercises for Health”, although if you wanted to try out some simple qigong, you can just go to YouTube and do a search for qigong. You’ll find a lot of different videos that will show you different exercises that you can try!

It’s a great way to be mindful, and get off of your couch at the same time.
