I Think Jet.com Might be Addicting…Does Anyone Else Like Watching the Prices Fall?
Yesterday, I made my first purchase at Jet.com. Because of how incredible the experience was, I immediately went to sign up for their affiliate program. Now let me tell you what happened.
It all started because I wanted to buy some SoftSoap refills. We like getting the big 32 fl. oz. Cucumber Melon refills and then pour them into the smaller containers by the sinks around the house. I was about out, and normally if I search around, can find the refills for about $3.50 or so on sale somewhere.
The only one at the time that had them around that price was Jet.com. They had it for $3.47. So I was happy with that.
But that wasn’t all!
First, if you’re willing to opt out of getting free returns, the price goes down to $3.43. I knew I wouldn’t be returning the items, so I took that option! If you’re willing to pay with a debit card, you’ll also pay less (I wanted to use a credit card, so I didn’t take advantage of this).
But that wasn’t all either!
Then, the more you get of an item, the more you save. Since I wanted 10 of them, it came down to $3.18 each.
But that wasn’t all! (I know, it keeps dropping!)
Once I started putting other items in my cart, the price kept going down.
I then added Dixie Mega Pack of Paper Plates (144 ct.) regularly $5.99, which came down to $5.70 in the cart, and the SoftSoap went down to $3.17 each!
Finally, I added 2 Go Naturally Organic Ginger Hard Candies to the order, regularly $3.19 and this is what my cart looked like:
Softsoap Refill: $3.17 each
Dixie Plates: $5.70
Ginger Hard Candies: $2.79 each.
…and that was before a coupon!
Now, at their regular price for all 3 of these items, it was already a pretty good deal. But watching the prices go down each time I added other items in it…well that was just too much fun. And then to put a coupon in at the end? That was just incredible!
To top it all off? You get free shipping on your first order. I ordered it yesterday afternoon, and it got to my house before lunch today! Here’s the picture of the box when I opened it. I was really impressed that they taped down the tops of the soap bottles.
It looks like you get free shipping with any order that’s $35 or more (and that’s pre-coupon, so if you use a coupon and the price goes below $35, you still get the free shipping.) Plus, if you order groceries or other essentials, your shipping becomes 2-day shipping. And I still can’t believe that my order got here in under 24 hours.
I also really like that they offer free returns. I know that if I were to buy clothes, I’d be a lot happier knowing I could return it for free if it didn’t fit. But it’s also great that I can get money off if I take away that option, because on certain things I know that I’ll be keeping them.
So, needless to say, I had a lot of fun with my order. The coupon that I used is actually good for your first 3 orders on Jet. So I already have a few items in my cart that I’ll be ordering in the next few days. So far? I have some paper products. Exciting, I know. But hey, I’m saving money so it works for me!
Now like all purchases you make, you definitely should make sure that you’re getting the best price before ordering. But between the fact that they already have good prices, and the price goes down the more you buy, and the fact that they have coupons…well, my guess is that you’ll find that they have the best price.
So far I’ve only purchased groceries as you can see, but they offer a lot of other categories as well. I haven’t even started to look at them yet, so I’ll let you know when I do. But they have pet food, electronics, clothes, books, appliances, furniture, and more.
I’m the kind of girl who loves to buy things at a great price, and loves a great deal. So watching the prices of the items fall as I put more items into the cart was just too cool.
